Travel Day. All flights to arrive in Las Vegas (LAS) airport and we’ll have a scenic 3-4 hour drive to your final destination.
On the drive, we’ll enter Zion National Park in the late afternoon, the best time of day to soak in the sights of this unparalleled canyon. From the park, we travel through the historic mile-long Zion-Mt. Carmel tunnel just before arriving at our private mountain home. We’ll get settled before mingling over appetizers and dinner.
We’ll end the day with a yoga nidra meditation.
Yoga nidra: Yoga nidra, also known as yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the"going-to-sleep" stage, typically induced by a guided meditation. Scientific evidence shows that yoga nidra helps to relieve stress, relaxes the mind and body to prep for a deep intentional sleep.
Start the day with a vinyasa yoga (for all-levels) before grazing over a healthy breakfast. Afterwards, we will start our first wellness session “the art of mindfulness”.
After the morning session, enjoy lunch and free time on your own.
We’ll meet back up for an afternoon mindful movement yoga session before a sunset mingle and dinner, with a dreamy yoga nidra meditation before bed.
Vinyasa: Vinyasa is also a very physically demanding practice that consists of flow from one pose to the next to get your heart rate pumping. It’s great if you aim to tone your body and also works out your core and upper body and gives you a cardio workout.
Mindful movement yoga: A slow flow yoga guided with gentler movements to promote insight as to how we hold tension, move (or do not move) our bodies, and how we relate to the sensations in the body.
Wellness session: A group session where we will deepen understanding through a led meditation or exercise as it pertains to yoga, meditation or breathwork (pranayama).
It’s kind of on everyone’s bucket list, right?
Let’s explore the Heart of Zion as we hike the thrill-seeker climb up of Angel’s Landing (5.4 miles).
We will want to start early to avoid the crowds, so we’ll have breakfast before we head out to the park. After the hike, we will have free time to enjoy Zion lodge and the visitor’s center for trail maps and souvenirs.
After returning home, we’ll end the day with a dreamy restorative yoga and meditation session.
Restorative yoga: gentle and slow movements holding poses for longer amounts of time with the use of props (cushions, blocks, blankets, etc.). Most poses will be on the ground.
After your morning yoga and breakfast, we’ll head out for a morning excursion of giving back.
Today you’ll have a chance to volunteer with the dogs at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Spend the morning socializing with the pups and helping with shelter needs.
After our morning of giving back, enjoy an afternoon of free time and a gentle yoga stretch before dinner.
Grab breakfast and pack your lunch, we’re heading to The Narrows for a day of Zion Canyoneering. We’ll hike The Narrows and stop inside the canyon for lunch. And of course, grab photos along the way!
- The Narrows (8 mile)
At the very end of Zion Canyon Road is where the Virgin River emerges from a deep, narrow canyon. On this unusual hike, the river itself is our trail as towering canyon walls grow taller and tighter around us. We will at times be hiking ankle, knee or waist deep in water. No technical skills required. This is a quintessential Zion experience and a spectacular life-list hike.
After lunch, we’ll make our way back to the lodge for some afternoon R&R. We’ll enjoy our last night with dinner, games and stargazing.
Travel Day. One last morning of yoga and breakfast before packing up. With late afternoon departures from Las Vegas, we’ll ease our way back into civilization, indulging in scenic stops, a few photo opps and a leisurely lunch along the way.
We'll plan the trip!
