LEAPING DEER RANCH ... home base for the trip!
We will relax and play at this amazing ranch retreat that sits on 186 gorgeous acres in northern New Mexico. This spacious home sits on a mountain ridge, surrounded by pine and juniper forest, that overlooks a valley of pastures and a natural lake. You'll be awed and inspired by the spectacular sunrises on the huge wrap around porch as we get our days started with a warm cup of coffee or tea while watching the horses graze.
The Rooms
The price for this trip assumes double occupancy. Four of the bedrooms have a queen bed plus a comfy sofa bed. There is also a king master suite with a king bed and two sofa beds. You can see photos of the rooms by clicking the Gallery tab above.

The front garden has a magnificent iron horse statue, Paco by Siri Hollander. Paco stands watch over the valley amidst an aspen grove, wild rose bushes, stalks of Mullen, and the new orchard of fruit trees. Also in the garden, is a bonfire pit area that is surrounded by stone benches. When weather conditions are favorable the staff can be available to assist in preparation and starting of a bonfire. There are very low levels of light pollution at Leaping Deer Ranch, so we'll definitely plan to do some star gazing. The night skies at the ranch are one of its best features!

This is a day all to you to restore and reconnect!
We will gather back together later in the afternoon for a special meditation experience. We will be exploring the largest labyrinth in New Mexico with a walking meditation & a letting go burn ceremony.

A labyrinth can be used as a tool to “unwind the mind,” and to let go stress or worries and concerns.
Walking the labyrinth can release patterned behavior, thoughts, and feelings of various sorts. It can "un-torque” or unwind you. As you release old patterned energy, the alignment of your body may shift or straighten into a greater spiritual alignment.
Some walk a labyrinth as a kind of moving meditation.
The labyrinth can be used as a metaphor for how you live your life. What can you learn about yourself as you walk it?
Enjoy free time before your private chef prepared dinner and end the evening with dessert under the stars.
Day 6 (May 9 or 16)
Departure day. We will conclude the retreat with a closing ceremony before grazing over breakfast and packing.
Please book your departure flight for 2:00pm (or later).
I just attended my first Fit 4 Adventure trip, the Women’s Wellness and Yoga retreat at Leaping Deer Ranch in NM. Kristin Goss, our lead guide, enthusiastically shared her vast knowledge of mindfulness techniques and activities. Our yoga practice was challenging, but restful. I felt thoroughly rejuvenated at the end of the retreat - thanks Kristin! I highly recommend Fit 4 Adventure. The trip formats are geared for fun as well as relaxation. Staying at one big house and sharing meals together provided me with opportunities to get to know my fellow trip-mates. The days were organized, but schedules were flexible to fit individual needs. I am already planning my next adventure getaway with Fit 4 Adventure!
Kristin is awesome in leading the yoga and meditation classes. She has so much knowledge and is so helpful to everyone regardless of you flexibility and skill level. The Ranch is very remote and beautiful and the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the mornings listening to the roosters crowing and watching the amazing sunrises over the mountain.
It was a great trip. We had great guides who actually were really helpful in making sure we found ourselves, and found our passions. We really enjoyed it. Great food, great place, it was awesome!
I liked it because it was unexpectedly nice and simple, and just a great time with a bunch of girls.
I was really surprised that it was much more than just Yoga, it was about mind, body and spirit. It was amazing reset for mid-year and we all came out of it feeling zen, relaxed and centered. It was the perfect thing to do mid-year.
The Fit 4 Adventure Yoga Retreat was a great little escape from every day life. The Leaping Dear Ranch is a beautiful property with very nice amenities. We went on multiple hikes and did lots of yoga and meditation. We bonded over a big bonfire and had lots of fun. stories to share. This is a great girls" trip getaway. Kristin is an amazing yoga instructor. She and Diane run a very nice trip that I plan to go on again. I highly recommend it!
We'll plan the trip!
